Facts about Chiliwack
Chilliwack is known for its natural beauty and recreational and lifestyle opportunities. The city has booming agriculture, industrial and commercial industries. Townhomes start at about $299,000 to about $874,900 with the average townhome costing $521,656. Apartments and Condos are priced the lowest at $124,900 to about $579,000 with the average unit costing at about $324,413.
Neighbourhoods
Chilliwack consists of two sides, northside and southside. Northside also known as Chilliwack proper village west covers the area from the trans-Canada Highway in the south to the Fraser river in the north and includes the following communities; Camp River, Downtown Chilliwack, East Chilliwack, Fairfield island and Rosedale. All these neighbourhoods are a rural-suburban community. The Southside only consists of one neighbourhood called Atchelitz but the southside also includes the famous Cultus Lake Park where many tourists go with their families to either enjoy the beach or the water park.
Parks & Recreation
Chilliwack’s parks and trails are all exceptional and a lot of the parks bring in tourists from all over North America. Chilliwacks scenery includes trails, beaches to water parks. Some of the major community parks include, Chilliwack Mountain Area, Chilliwack Urban Core, Fairfield Island, Greendale, Eastern Hillside Area, Promontory, Sardis-Vedder, Cultus Lake and many more. Schools
Chilliwack falls under SD33. Chilliwack has 20 elementary schools, 5 middle schools and 5 high schools and are attended by 14,000 full time and part time students.. The city offers many school programs including, BAA courses, career programs, continuing education, early learning, french immersion, hybrid learning, integrated arts and technology and many more.
